We are very proud to be the first school in Hull to trial this scheme. Children who become part of the programme help to tackle local issues, as highlighted by their own communities.
By assisting the police service, they also carry ownership and pride back into the community they live in. This is an exciting scheme which we are hopeful will encourage the younger generation to think about their role in their community as well as teaching them ways to keep themselves safe.
We meet weekly, and so far, have talked about road safety and anti-bullying. Within the coming weeks, we will talk about subjects such as crime prevention and online safety. The mini police take responsibility for disseminating their learning to the rest of the school and making sure that our community is safe and well educated.

Humberside Police choose Pearson Primary due to its location within the city and the good links the PCSO had already with the school.
