Welcome to Pearson Primary School
Welcome from the Executive Headteacher
It is an honour to be the Headteacher of Pearson Primary School, serving our vibrant, diverse and multicultural society, made up of families from upwards of 30 countries. Pearson Primary is a very special school in the heart of our city.
My personal passion is growing and developing people in service of their school and I believe that every child, no matter their starting points or social demographic, has the right to a world class education, so that they can develop the courage and aspiration required to learn and achieve. This is why I do the work that I do.
Every adult in our school prides themselves on nurturing and supporting every child; valuing everyone’s unique worth and contribution; empowering every member to achieve their fullest potential and opening up a world of opportunities. Our hardworking team goes above and beyond to ensure that every child flourishes, by building respectful relationships and delivering an excellent quality of education.
In this inclusive environment, where expectations are high, children are encouraged to be resilient, confident and independent learners. The whole community works together, championing every child, to ensure each one experiences success and develops in confidence during their time with us.
If you are considering training to be a primary teacher, you may be interested to know that Pearson Primary School offers training placements for Vantage North Humber Teacher Training (VNHTT). VNHTT brings together two experienced and successful leading local providers of teacher training: St Mary’s College and Hull SCITT. There are also host School Experience Open Days when you could spend time in our school, observe lessons, and talk to staff to help you decide that teaching is the right career choice for you.

My child loves the school and enjoys her time here.
Pupils work hard to be positive role models and give support to others. They are
very proud of the work they do as restorative practitioners, play buddies and wellbeing ambassadors. This is a highly inclusive school.
Pupils feel safe and cared
for in the school. Parents agree.
I have full faith in Mrs Clarkson and her wonderful team. They have bent over backwards over the past year to make sure my daughter has an education and I know they will continue to do so. They are amazing and I am so great full for their support for my child throughout the lockdowns. They have exceeded my expectations as they always go the extra mile.
We are very happy with the school and our child’s progress.
Thank you so much, our child couldn’t be happier.
I have had a lovely afternoon hearing the Year 1 children read so thank you. I was so impressed with the calmness and maturity of the children.
Pearson Primary School has gone above and beyond the realms of every day teaching and learning in this challenging year. Thank you to the wonderful staff for all they do, both seen and unseen. Our child is happy, inspired, challenged, supported and making progress – what more could we ask for?
Pupils’ behaviour and attitudes are excellent. They are respectful, considerate and polite. Pupils are incredibly thoughtful and look after one another
The teachers are always looking out for the children and they are nice to the children.
I would like to express my gratitude to the extent the school supports the festival of Eid Ul Adha. Not only by allowing the children a day to celebrate with their families but also by celebrating these events in the school as well.
