Pupil Premium
The pupil premium is additional funding given to schools in England to reduce the achievement gap between disadvantaged students and their peers.
It is allocated based on the number of eligible pupils, including those on free school meals, in care, adopted from care, or from armed forces families.
Schools have flexibility in using the funding to support disadvantaged students through resources, interventions, and support programs. They must report on how the funding is used and its impact.
The pupil premium plays a vital role in improving educational outcomes and promoting social mobility for disadvantaged students.
